Release Slow Flow 7:30P CST

Happy holidays! Join me for a 60 minute nourishing fireside yoga class that will be restful and intentional as we gear up for finishing out 2023. The first half of class will be surrounding building heat, moving through sun salutations and twists and the second half of class will be focused on releasing through the body through shoulder, hip and low back openers. There will be a 5-10 minute savasana to fully drop into this experience.

For the most comfort, set up your space in a way that invites a sense of recharging, such as burning a candle and diming the lights. We will sometimes utilise a pillow/bolster during class. Other items to encourage relaxation might be: a blanket, eye pillow, candle or essential oils. Click the zoom link below and I’ll “see” you there!

My friend Kelsey Bednar and I spent Thursday night in a connected zoom room with lovely friends exploring the symbolism of the moon, the new year and our bodies. This special 2 week series is through Giving Hearts Yoga, a nonprofit yoga community that is centered entirely around giving – to yourself and to others. This platform was designed for yoga teachers to raise funding for people in need and spread awareness for the causes that matter the most to them. We offer free/donation based online yoga classes weekly with the option to donate in a few different ways. All donations are, and will always be, completely optional.

They also make opportunities. Opportunities for housing, employment, and recovery. Opportunities for families to reconnect and above all, they make hope possible.

I’ve chose to support Thresholds becuase I am passionate about the work this organization does to help transform the lives of people living with mental illnesses and substance abuse disorders, creating opportunities for families to reconnect in my home state of Illinois. These issues are dear to my heart as they have affected my life and the lives of many others and are all too often brushed under the rug. I hope to spread awareness and help create hope for the countless families affected by mental illness and substance abuse.

We’ll move through a 55 minute slow flow pace yoga class. Expect about 30-40 minutes of slow flow vinyasa, followed by 2-4 restorative postures, ending with 5+ minute savasansa.
